1987 Toyota FJ60

Last week, it was time for a quick beer run and we had the perfect Cruiser in the shop to test our some recent work with. This 1987 Toyota FJ60 recently rolled through the shop for some routine maintenance, and once everything was dialed in, we took it out for a proper shakedown towards Stonecloud Brewery here in Oklahoma City.

By 1987, the FJ60 had already cemented its place as one of Toyota’s most beloved Land Cruisers. Built during an era when utility came first, the 60-series bridged the gap between rugged off-road capability and everyday usability. It kept the solid axles and mechanical durability the Land Cruiser name was known for, while adding a bit more refinement - room for passengers, additional features for extra comfort, and the kind of reliability that made these trucks global legends.

This particular FJ60 came into the shop for attention on making it a comfortable drive. We serviced the A/C system to keep it cool through Oklahoma summers, refreshed suspension components to tighten up the ride, and addressed the brake system to ensure confident stopping power.

After wrapping up the service, we took it out around OKC to warm everything up and make sure systems were operating the way they should
