Stag Travels: Wyoming '18

It was June in 2018 and we received the good news, our application for Antelope Tags in Wyoming came through. We quickly began shifting our summer to plan for a trip up later that fall to harvest a Pronghorn.

We had a long time family friend with land just outside Laramie. We began calling up, mapping out the property as best we could, and began to think about the important part, what rigs would we take up for the adventure.

Once we got up there, we began dialing in our rifles and practicing our shot. After an afternoon hitting targets, we tried our aim with some prairie dogs who were busy making ankle breakers on the pasture all summer long.

After the sun dipped over the horizon we quickly pitched camp and spent the evenings around the campfire sharing hunting stories from over the years.

Finally the day came and we got our clear shot on a beautiful antelope. The perfect shot came around as it hit the wide open Wyoming horizon, just over a hill.

After trailing it down, we quickly got it back to camp to begin breaking down and preparing for the long journey home.

It's trips like this that remind us the importance of the vehicles we drive. Being able to not only drive to places like this, but also being able to let us bring the gear to have a real adventure. We're excited for more to come this next year. And we would love to hear more about any trips our Club's rides have taken them on.

A big thank you to Travis for capturing these great pics from the trip. Be sure to follow on Instagram!
