1956 Chevy Bel Air
This second generation of Chevy Bel Air has always been one of our favorites and we love having this 1956 model in our Stag Auto Storage collection. From the chrome spears on the front fenders to the full-width grille they introduced on the 1956 model, it stands out anytime it rolls out during our engine warm up runs.
The two door Nomad option to the Bel Air was the premium of the seven model options available to buyers when the 1956 model released. It featured a hard top, sloped B pillar, and distinct tailgate with seven vertical moldings.
The sporty look combined with luxury level interior styling made it a popular release onto American roadways. But for consumers, the cargo space also made it the perfect station wagon while having the look of a stylish coupe.
We can only imagine what it was like cruising down Route 66 behind the wheel almost 70 years ago. We're grateful rides like this have survived and we still get to enjoy.
